The children in 512 are organising this year’s Easter Raffle. In order for our children to hold an Easter Raffle, we ask families to donate Easter eggs, chocolates, Easter giftware and so on, together with any baskets or wrappings that you no longer require. Class 512 will make up prizes for the raffle. We are hoping to be able to offer lots of prizes!
Your donations may be sent to your child’s classroom anytime next week to enable us time to make up the baskets and work out how many prizes there will be to win. All donations will be used as prizes so we can’t have too many. Class 512 children will be selling tickets in classrooms at school for 50c per ticket. Tickets will also be available for purchase from the School Office next week. Thank you for your anticipated support in helping our children organise a successful raffle!
The last day of Term One is Friday 31 March. There will be a special whole school assembly in the gymnsium, commencing at 9.15am. There will be an Easter hat parade and the raffle will be drawn. Families are welcome to come along and join in the fun!
Parents are reminded that school finishes at 2.30pm on Friday 31 March. Term Two begins for children on Wednesday 19 April.
Harmony Day will be celebrated at Cranbourne Carlisle on Monday 20 March. Children are very excited, with many of them practising cultural dances that will be performed at a special whole school assembly in the gymnasium at 9.15am. Families are most welcome to attend! Please enter via the rear gate adjacent to the bike shed.
The children will then participate in a range of multi-age activities that promote respect, fairness and a sense of belonging for everyone.
The day will end with a very special Chinese dancing lion perfomance. In Chinese culture, the lion symbolises power, wisdom and good fortune. It is said to chase away evil spirits and bring happiness, longevity and good luck. This performance will begin at approximately 2.20pm on the basketball court, weather permitting.
