213| D’jeembana activities

28 June 2019

We thoroughly enjoyed D’jeembana Day. The Hip Hop dancers were awesome and we had so much fun dancing with them. The dance battle was the best. It was funny seeing the teachers and parents dancing too.

Uncle Lionel taught us a lot about Aboriginal tools and how they were made. He spoke about bush tucker and told us it is very important to take just enough food for your needs. It would be good to spend some more time with Uncle Lionel because he is so interesting.

As you can see by the photos the children were engrossed in their dot paintings.

We had a lovely surprise when Paige’s Dad came to the classroom and played his didgeridoo for us. He explained that you need to circular breathe when playing the didgeridoo.
