Music at Cranbourne Carlisle PS utilises a fully inclusive approach with the aim to have all children engaged with music with opportunities to sing and play musical instruments regularly. Children can learn music they choose, and identify with, whilst doing it in a fun environment alongside friends. Children showing greater enthusiasm for music can partake in music clubs such as, Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, Rock Band and Choir, run outside of class time. From learning basic beat and rhythms to full rock band songs, children experience and learn skills on a multitude of instruments including: Acoustic Guitars & Drums, Boomwhackers, Drum kits, Electric Guitars, Electric Bass, Keyboards, and Orchestral Percussion instruments. Children are given opportunity to perform their music compositions to their peers, within small groups, in whole class settings, and assemblies.
