We have been exploring place value by recognising, modelling, representing and ordering  numbers to at least 10,000. The children represented numbers in many different ways such as creating numbers by rolling dice, writing numbers on the place value mats, saying the numbers and writing them numerically and in words. Then the numbers were compared to another number as larger or smaller before ordering a group of numbers from smallest

to largest.
