In our class the children have been practising giving complimentary feedback to their peers. Last week they focused fluency in reading and the children were reading to a partner who then offered positive feedback with a sentence starter such as I like the way you used expressions to match the characters. Then they focused on something that the partner needs to improve such as I have noticed you didn’t stop fully at the full stops. Lastly the partner offered a suggestion to improve such as, you can improve by stopping fully at the full stops before you start your new sentence. The children have quite focused and reflected on their reading, listening and giving feedback.
