Our children in Year Two have been working on their sentence structure to improve their writing. The Colourful Semantics program is playing a big role in helping children to understand the sentence structure, how to include important elements to create simple sentences and how to stretch sentences to improve the quality of their sentences. The approach of this program is really successful in making it easier for children to remember the different aspects of a sentence by their colours. Last week, children created sentences by using blue (where) and purple (when) words.
