Respectful Relationships

The Respectful Relationships program is an initiative by the State government, based on developing respect, positive attitudes and behaviors all of which develop resilience, confidence and healthy relationships now and for the future.

Our staff are leaders of Respectful Relationships, and they deliver agreed upon content through a consistent approach which is documented through the curriculum.

Respectful relationships are at the core of our school’s values and teachings. We believe in fostering an environment where all members of our community treat one another with kindness, empathy, and dignity. The program is designed to encourage values of respect and equality whilst equipping students with the necessary skills to cultivate healthy relationships. By emphasising the importance of respect and equality, students learn to constructively navigate challenges and conflicts.  The program develops problem-solving abilities, resilience, and self-assurance. Through engaging learning experiences and group discussions, students gain the knowledge and skills required to build strong, respectful relationships in their lives. They learn to listen actively, value diverse perspectives, and respectfully communicate their thoughts and feelings. We emphasise the importance of empathy, teaching students to understand and consider the feelings and experiences of others. By promoting respectful relationships, we aim to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone feels valued, heard, and respected, paving the way for positive interactions, strong connections, and a harmonious school community.
