Well done to our Year 6 children for their fantastic behaviour on school camp at Mill Valley Ranch. The children displayed great teamwork, perseverance, empathy, and risk taking over the course of the week which included many children’s first experience riding horses, eating new foods and working with children they wouldn’t normally spend time with. As a staff we observed how mature the children were being and how harmonious the group was. If your child wants to take their shoes off and throw them at a water bottle you may have to get them to explain the game!
I managed to join in on the fun on Wednesday and had a fantastic day but was very grateful to go home to my warm bed at the end of the day and get a good night’s sleep.
A special thank you to Ms Mepstead, Ms Dunstan, Ms Greenough, Ms Davis, Mr Mac and our two very brave parent volunteers Paul Seeley and Rebecca Parker for giving up their time to facilitate this camp and an extra special thanks to Ms Dunstan for organising the event.
