To recap, nearly a century ago, Victorian school children collected pennies to rebuild a school in a French village that Australian soldiers had liberated during World War I.

This year a new generation of Australian school children will repeat that poignant gesture, which will always be remembered in France.

The Pozières School Project has received widespread media coverage across Australia and France.
