We have quite a few enrolments for children commencing school in 2015. If you are aware of any children who are of foundation age next year and have not yet enrolled, please encourage their parents to contact Michelle for an appointment.
Early enrolment enables us to plan effectively for classes and staffing prior to the commencement of the school year. School tours are conducted each Tuesday. Numbers are limited for each tour.
Contact Michelle to book a place or make an appointment to enrol.
Our school has won a $10,000 grant to enter the Bully Stoppers competition. We will be producing a short cartoon and have enlisted the help of award winning illustrator and author Ben Sanders, as well as the Creativa Videos production company. Stay tuned for more updates as we work towards our goal of creating a cyber safety based animation.
Term Four Lunchtime Program!
We have programs operating every day of the week during the first half of lunchtime. The programs are organised and supervised by staff who have lots of fun at lunchtime each week, teaching children ways to productively spend their leisure time.
A wide range of activities are offered to engage children and strengthen our sense of community and well being in the school environment.
Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School is excited to be taking part in VicHealth’s Walk to School until Friday 31 October.
Walk to School encourages children to walk to and from school every day in October to highlight the ways walking improves children’s health and wellbeing. Walking to school is a great way to help kids achieve the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity each day.
We’ll be encouraging families and children to walk to and from school as often as possible during October to help children learn healthy habits for life. Teachers will use classroom calendars to record each time children walk to and from school. VicHealth offers some great prizes to schools with high participation and runs fun walking themed competitions for children throughout October.
Each Friday during October, staff will meet children at either of two local parks at 8.30am and enjoy a walk to school together, ready for a 9.00am start. We look forward to as many children and families as possible joining us!
Visit the Walk to School website for more information: www.walktoschool.vic.gov.au
We have had a very calm start to Term Four. Children and staff have settled quickly back into routine, after spending some time sharing their holidays adventures. It was lovely to see all the happy, smiling faces!
This term will be very busy, with lots of excursions and camps planned. We will also soon be seeking donations for the Christmas Market, so watch this space! Please make sure you check the calendar regularly and download the school app from GooglePlay or the App Store so you never miss an important date.
With the weather starting to warm up, it is time now for all children to be wearing their summer uniform again. Families and children are reminded that full summer uniform includes the black school hat for outside activities and black shoes. Shoe laces must also be black.
Hair is to be neat and tidy, without shaved messages or patterns. Long hair must be tied securely back to help prevent the spread of head lice.
Nail polish, make up and jewellery are not to be worn. Small stud earrings are acceptable. Wrist watches may be worn but no responsibility will be accepted by the school if lost or damaged.
