520 | Structuring Informational Texts!

3 June 2019

In 520 we have been learning how to write informational texts. An informational text is a non-fiction text which describes an object, animal, person or event. We have been learning that these texts have a basic structure: introduction, description and conclusion. We worked together to construct an informational text about eagles, before we wrote our own about elephants.

We have learned that informational texts contain facts, not opinions. We used a ‘fact file’ to get our information to write our texts.
