We have been learning about fractions and how to add fractions with the same denominator. We started by refreshing our memory of the numerator being the number at the top of the fraction and the denominator being the bottom number. We found using a number line was helpful for adding and subtracting fractions together that are less than or equal to a whole. Our next step is to focus more on the relationship between improper and mixed number fractions and how we can add or subtract these on a number line.
